.. And they said it was a really good show. This was all of their first experiences to Broadway(and happy to say they all thought it was really cool that I wanted to be on Broadway), and they said everything was great except EDEN. At the curtain call they said that someone took a picture and she said "Don't take any pictures of me please" or something along those lines, and it was in a really snotty tone. Then someone in the audience was laughing and she said "Don't laugh I'm almost finished." Also in a snotty tone. This was on Wednesday, and I wasn't there, but were any of you there to see it? This could be exagerrated I don't know but I was just really surprised.
Why is that rude? You are not allowed to take pictures.
Indeed. Eden waa very justified in saying what she said.
Even if she was acting 'snotty' she had a right to in some respects, because anyone who takes any sort of picture in a theatre should KNOW from all the multiple warnings there are saying not to take pictures..it's in the playbill and the ushers constantly say it..it's pretty bad of the audience member if a cast member must inform them not to do so.
Oh no I know you are not supposed to take pictures, they said she said it really really snotty. And if she didn't, or even if it wasn't as bad as they said, thats why I asked if anyone else saw it. Because I wouldn't expect them(like I said this was their first Broadway show) to know what is rude or isn't. That is why I mentioned/asked on here, because I figured someone who has been to shows more often would know if it was really rude.
I would expect them to know, seeing that they make an announcement two minutes prior to curtain at every performance.
I'm sorry if my comment came off as harsh..I just re-read it and it seems angry lol..no intention of that at all!!
I've never experienced an actor having to say anything to audience members like that..but I guess even if she did say it 'snotty' it's not rude..well not *that* rude..she did have reason to almost yell at people...
Eden Espinosa was the nicest person in New York towards me. Here I am this 15 year old boy at the time going up to her telling her shes my hero and when she smiled I started to cry and she lifts up my chin says "AWWWWW your so cute" and gave me a hug. She continued to talk to me and in the picture of me and her, I am bugged eyed because she has her arm around me and she is in mid-laugh because she is so thrilled that I appreaciate her. She continues to inspire me everyday.
I'm sorry but Eden is right. She loves taking pictures with her
fans at the STAGE DOOR. She's such a nice person. I love her.
Glad your friends liked the show!!!!
aww emo your story's lovely! :) i am also in agreement with Eden. next time people want to take pics where they shouldn't at least be discrete and use one of those hidden camera pens. :P

I have to side with Eden. Not only is the audience told not to take pictures, but it could also be harmful to the performers on stage. I've seen people taking pictures a lot lately. At "Rent" people kept taking pictures (at the curtain call) even when one of the performers asked them to stop 3 different times.
And especially when someone like Eden is apparently so nice and accomodating (sp?) at the stage door. Can't you just wait?
I actually missed Eden in Brooklyn, so I can't say either way about how nice she is at the stage door. I also saw a lot of pictures being taken during Hot Honey Rag in Chicago (when Paige Davis was in it), and nobody stopped even when all the ushers came into the Theatre to tell them to.
This is so very true. I mean after being under those bright lights for such a long time, at the end of the show I would have done much more then a plase stop ~_^
