just got an email about this event from the Public Theatre. It sounds like it could be an exciting and informative night
https://www.publictheater.org/Public-Theater-Season/All-The-Presidents-Men/
all tickets $27.00 (plus $8.00 fee from Ticketmaster) hurry, they seem to be going fast
It does sound interesting. Like the reference in the title. Wonder who'll be cast in this, the price is very good for what the night promises to be.

From the BroadwayWorld press release
"Edited and directed by Nicolas Kent, this timely event will bring together prominent and star-studded voices to shed a spotlight on the gripping verbatim Senate sessions that gave startling insight and direction into the future of the Trump Presidency."
now im even more excited
I'm excited about seeing this, too. Grabbed my tickets while I could still get good ones.
VERY curious about who'll be performing in this.
This sounds like it would be torture to sit through.

Do you mean torture as in, "boring theater"?
Or do you mean torture as in, "It is excruciating to attempt to tolerate being confronted with the reality that what I'm hearing is actually what was said by the current president's nominees in the hearings to confirm transfer of huge amounts of power to these people"?

Both, to me at least.
I hope you didn't buy tickets, Joe. We wouldn't want you to go through your made up definition of "torture".

I didn't, try not to take everything so literally though.
I could understand this not being everybody's cup of tea. To me it sounds likely to be fascinating, and possibly a powerful, illuminating, and yes, likely horrifying, night of theater to share in common with what I'd expect to be an audience galvanized for resistance at Town Hall. There's a long history of "politically challenging and intellectually stimulating" events at Town Hall, making it a perfect setting.
