just makes me really appreciate my family. They're so happy to be able to come up here and see a show they don't care who's in it.
We're seeing Gypsy on July 19, and last night I was warning them not to panic if the stupid isotoners product placement announcement is still going on (I wasn't sure if they had wanted to see it for the show or Patti (my personal choice is the show and Laura, but that's another story) so I figured better safe than sorry.) My dad's first response was "That's silly. Who cares what shoes she has on? Why does it matter?" and then he went on to say "I'm just excited to see the show regardless of who's in it." My sister said the same thing.
Love them! :) Appreciating theatre for theatre. Not certain performers.

I have seen some shows where I thought that the understudies, standbys, alternates(whichever it may be) were better than the lead performers.
I too am just happy to be seeing the show. Leads are always great to see but I love to see understudies, standbys, alternates(whichever it may be) also.
