Anyone know where the rush seats have been for Allegiance and if it has had a line forming long before the box office opens? Thinking of trying on Sunday.

Rush and lottery was just announced today, if I'm not mistaken. More informative reports may surface this weekend.

I rushed last Friday and got seat 111 at row J. (Center of the last row of the mezzanine) I would have loved to see it from a little closer to the stage, but the seat is worth its money. I got the ticket only two hours before the show started, but maybe it's more busy during the weekends.

I think Rush for people under 35 has been going on, the lottery is the new bit.

I rushed last Saturday. Row D of the Balcony in the center. They have had a rush since the 8th or something, but they might have announced new details yesterday.

It's still an under 35 rush which sucks for me. Only thing new is the digital lottery.

So the complaint is that you went from no option to having an option to get in cheaply?

I have no complaints. I was just telling JBroadway that nothing changed for rush. I'll gladly pay full price for this show.
I just think shows should have a general rush for all ages and not these age specific ones. It's not only students and younger people that can't afford full priced tickets. It's everyone of all ages that can't afford them.

Has anyone won the digital lottery for the show? If so, where were your seats?

I won lottery tonight and also got BALCONY row D. I gave them back. If I wanted to sit in the balcony for $39 I would have bought and CHOSEN my own seats online for a discount.
Most shows that do lottery seem to offer something special for the win, like a first row or a side orchestra. I have never been offered middle of balcony for ALMOST the face value of the ticket. For $10 I might have taken it, but I want to see this show from closer up.
So I ended up paying for parking only to have dinner and go back home.
The guys in the box office were dumbfounded that I didn't want the seats. And they said there is NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RUSH AND LOTTERY.

Yeah, as soon as I read someone saying mid-balcony, I was like... OK, I'll wait. ![]()

I won lottery and was given row d as well. Moved to front row at intermission, there were plenty of seats open.

There was nothing wrong with the row d seats we had, could see everything. Seats were great, show not so much.

The lottery is not worth it because they are the same seats up in the Balcony that you would get if you made an advanced reservation for only $10 more. And the show is not selling out, so you can score a Balcony seat same day online without doing rush or the lottery. Using Theatermania's discounts, I saw the show Front Row Center Orchestra last week for $99 and it was well worth it.

Another option is Tix4Students. The seats are $45 for the back four rows of the balcony. But it seems the under 35 rush seats are the same balcony seats for $39?

Bump - anyone have experience with rush seats? Are they all rear balcony?

My friend won the lottery today and got 3rd row Orch side today, so apparently it's not all balcony?
Did anybody else get good seats with the lottery (or the rush)?

I didn't win yet, but I know some people who also got seats in the orchestra through the lottery. Seems like it is just based on availability...

Won myself yesterday and was in row E, side Mezz. People next to me were also lottery winners. I thought it was a good seat.
Also, the lotto must be VERY easy to win. I entered twice, and won both times (the first time I couldn't go because I friend had bought me a rush ticket for another show in the mean time as I didn't expect to win on the first try)

They've probably had increased availability since opening earlier this month, allowing them to offer orchestra and mezzanine seats to the lottery winners. Have all the rush seats been exclusively in the balcony?

Yes, I talked to someone working for the show, she said it was exclusively balcony in the beginning, and they are trying out mezz and orch now. This is for the lottery though, I don't know about rush.

Oh good, I sent an e-mail to the production crew about the location of lottery tickets and said if you want to attract theatre goers who will spread the word of mouth, they need to offer better seating than balcony. I guess my advice worked?

A lot of the time it's a question of availability. If orchestra and mezzanine seats are being sold at full price, then I'm sure they won't want to lose that money by giving away a $125 seat for $30 especially when the show is not yet operating at a profit. These are financial decisions to keep the show operating, they aren't just offering balcony seats because they want to stick it to everyone.
