hello everyone! i just came home from the Bloomingdales In-Store Event and thought i'd write a little review for you. the Boyz totally rocked the CHANEL display room with funk and rhyme!!! lol!
pre-event: my friends and i had actually arrived early and checked out the "stage" area on the "balcony" of the store. i put those two words in quotes because they couldn't be further from the true definitions of stage and balcony. i took a photo of the area and the "stage" which was just a segment of the stairs with jewelry display cases, and it was literally only as wide as my hips. we all wondered how the Boyz would be able to fit in there let alone dance. we waited around in front of the stairs/escalators.
Tyler, Andy, and Scott came around the front and greeted us. we asked them what songs the Boyz were going to do and Andy told us it was probably going to be "We are the Altar Boyz" and "Something About You". we saw Ryan on the top of the stairs right then because he came from a different entrance. he gave us a little wave here and there. David was nowhere to be seen (again!) but he was actually up to the right on the top of the balcony and probably came through the same doors as Ryan. David's beauteous wife and his adorable son was there today! they were hanging on the top of the stairs and doing lots of photo ops with the Boyz and the production people. Tyler and Scott left to get some food and then the Boyz started doing sound check. we all began to cheer and yelp and the store security people frowned upon the Boyz. David tried to say "no no, we're just doing sound check, chill out" LOL! Andy was also being playful and said quietly into his mic, "Hey Abe, break me off a piece of that miracle funk!" but David flat out refused. lol! after sound check they started playing the soundtrack and the Boyz disappeared again.
during the event: they started out with We are the Altar Boyz, they all piled into the center section of the stage and they were almost touching each other, the space was so small. i whispered to my friend that they wouldn't be able to do the moves and she hollers at the Boyz, "don't worry! we got it! we'll do it!" LOL!!!! and we sort of did. Scott was at the front center and saw us do some of the motions and he was pretty into it and pointed and grinned at us! awww Scott you're so much fun!! there was glass over the area where the Boyz stood and they could NOT move their legs without kicking each other. they all tried to do more hand gestures. when they did "they like to fight!" i saw Andy forget about the leg space problem and bumped his knee against the glass as he tried to "kick." actually i think Scott did too. hahah! they did the "hello New York" poses just fine and the "hallelujah" break alright. when they did "introductions," Ryan and Tyler stood on steps behind the other 3 and Scott had to move over a little so Tyler can do his hand waving "Mark" pose. when it got to Ryan, he knew it was hard for us to see him so he didn't do the normal "Juan" pose but he raised both arms and kind of hopped to be like "i'm here!" LOL!! David stepped to the side past the display cases and did his "Abraham" stance. also, David's mic was the loudest of them all and when they did harmonies we could all hear him distinctly above the others.
for Something About You, Scott could not come down and bring up a girl because they barricaded the stage area. he just leaned over the glass and tried to flirt with one of the girls on the right. i think her name was Emory and i heard at the end of the event that she has been to see the show as often as me! Scott must have recognized her and sang most of the beginning to her. but he said the latter part of the Crunk speech to me! he pointed right at me and goes "you got it all up in ya girl, you got Crunk" and drew a heart in the air with his hands. my heart was racing!

lol!!
