It's annoying me that my stupid headphones don't work anymore, because my parents are right here, and I can't listen to it (insert wail of despair here).
Oh, and to everyone reading this: you KNOW you want to vote for Epiphany.

Question about Altar Boyz...
Are all of the songs "Boy Band Songs" or are there actual book songs that comment on the charcters feelings?
Just curious, can't really tell with everything I've read.
i think most of the songs have boy band touches but only a couple are true blue boy band songs like this opening song. the majority of the songs are about character expression and definately their 11 o'clock number is about character exploration.
they're very sweet and innocent but coupled with the in-your-face choreography the songs come alive with dynamic interplay. both the choreography and the songs have a boy band frame but the contents of both far exceed what boy bands have been able to do in their heyday.
the songs are so catchy and you want to sing them but the lyrics are actually so complex and witty that you can't just "guess them up" like you can with n'sync and backstreet boys and still be right. :) come on...you all know what i'm talking about LOL

If they don't put Mark's monologue on the album before "Epiphany", I think I'll cry.
ahhh i love the icon magic! hahahahaha
and i think they ought to add the monologue too. how else could the song begin? i cant imagine it just starting off with with no preface.

It will probably start with "For the ten of you out there...". Or maybe no dialogue at all. It could just be the intro and "I look into your eyes, and I see the pain you hold inside". Which will be sad.
We potentially WOULD be able to hear it if the poll on the website were working correctly. But it appears that the "Epiphany" option is not functional.
Oh, and I figured that I should coordinate the avatar and the signature.

He has a monologue before Epiphany? In that case, I shall bawl too, if they didn't record that.
I think my "How Much I Need To See Altar Boyz" meter just exploded.
Sidenote: I'd like to say that I adore magic's icon and signature.
EDIT: Is it bad that the signature had me in tears (until the last line)...? *Glances around, nervously*

Well, since your "How Much I Need To See 'Altar Boyz'" meter has already exploded, it won't hurt to say that, in my opinion, Tyler's monologue is the best part of the entire show. ::points to signature::
You really should see it. It's pretty damn fabulous.
LMAO the Episcopalians have me rolling!

Heh. I pride myself on being (probably) the most well-informed person about this show who hasn't actually seen it, yet. I might over spring break, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
... and I sort of adore Mark to the point where it may be considered unhealthy.
I miss the daily blog updates on the website...
Magic, "Ephiphany" is just the song. The monologue is not on there.
That makes me really, really sad.
On the silver-lining-that-doesn't-actually-ever-make-anyone-feel-better side of things, the fans will have a treat to look forward to when they go to see the show, I guess.
im listening to it right now ans im cracing up

But wouldn't that kind of diminish the "concert" feel of it?
I don't really know what I'm talking about; I'm just curious.

If anything, it would increase the "concert" feel; however, you wouldn't be able to see all of the actors' nuances, which are essential to the effectiveness of the show. The intimacy that the show has now is definitely a good thing. And it's not like it's a BAD thing to be running off-Broadway. Actually, if we're talking about it in terms of show quality, off-Broadway is pretty much preferrable...

That makes sense.
I wish somebody would explain that to my mom (who assumes that if it's off-Broadway, it's garbage).

i love the intimacy of dodger stages. off-broadway feels cozy and i really wish that kind of mood for the show. because of the informal premise of the plot (target boy band audience), you can also wear your comfy everday clothes and feel at home. you can let your guard down, reflect on your soul and let the ABz guide you! lol
who knows though, if they ever move to a bigger house they may get better exposure and a more expanded audience demographic but right now i like the word of mouth promotional style. it makes people think they've "discovered" the Boyz and isn't that just as sweet and innocent as the cast?

i can't wait for this cast recording, sounds hillarious!!
