"Some savvy theater friends (though not dance aficianados) from out of town went Wed. eve (7/1) and loved Scribner, everything about his performance. They had small issues with the show, particularly its resolution, but adored him. If he picks up an additional performance in the months ahead, inevitably, not bad news. The show needs alternates, good ones. I remember how many people said they couldn't image "Beautiful" without Mueller. Ultimately, most people who see "Beautiful" will never see Mueller. That's theater, and that's especially true of long runs."
That's good to hear. I saw his first performance and despite obvious nerves, he did quite well. I can only imagine he will continue to improve.
EDIT: I just noticed that as of tonight, the playbill also lists Sara Esty as an alternate for Lise (Leanne Cope), but does not have a specific day.
