Hello, fellow broadway geeks. So basically, I need some good audition songs. I am fourteen years old and I'm generally an alto, but I'm kind of a mix between alto and mezzo. I have an audition for a show, but the catch is that I don't know what show it is. It's called the 24 Hour Musical, where people audition, they cast it, and then they finally release what show they're doing...24 hours before we perform it. The options list has a variety of options, including "Shrek", "Oklahoma!", "Grease", and more, all very different shows. All I was told is that it's very vocally challenging. The thing is, I don't want to sing a contemporary song for a rock musical, or a rock song for a contemporary one. Any tips, suggestions, or general thoughts? Anything is appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. - I hate narrowing options, but please don't suggest any overused/popular songs/musicals. I've learned that it likens your chances if you sing something less-known :)
