I haven't seen the show, but I have the recording. IMO, one of the things that might work against its transfer to a Broadway house is that it assumes an almost insider-like knowledge of the Broadway musical theatre. That's great for all the musical queens (of which I am one, obviously), but will it register with people who are not diehard afficianados? The lyrics are quite clever, the music okay. Perhaps they'd get lost in a larger venue. I plan to see it, but that doesn't mean that it's going to attract a mass audience. But who knows in the crap shoot that is Broadway?
