This school does not give degrees. You get a certificate. I went for 1 semester after highschool and it wasn't for me at all. I was told it was a strict conservatory and they didn't take any fooling around...ie: drinking and smoking pot and not staying focused. I had a great acting teacher there, my musical theater teacher who bragged about her um "Broadway credits" sucked. She couldn't even sing never mind teach. My voice teacher was excellent and thats about it. Plus the dorms were filled with rats and mental patients. Yes, they share the dorm building with you. I'm glad I was on a full scholarship cuz it isn't worth the money they ask for at all. I waited it out and reapplied to other musical theater schools and decided on The Boston Conservatory. It's a great school.

I thought AMDA was fairly expensive? Julliard is really cheap: it's a public school! The problem with AMDA from what I've seen is that it's voice training isn't that good. I'm going by a friend of mine that not only didn't know what the mask is, but she also thought that you should see veins when belting. THAT'S VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it hurts, it's wrong!!!!!! Veins mean tension.
