Of all the possible changes they could add to this show in the NYC transition, I would most like to see the addition of new spoken dialog that would expand the plot and characters.

Also, although I only saw the show once in Berkeley, there were far more audience members who hit right into the NPR demographic (liberals in their 40s) than teenagers of any kind. My boss is probably someone like their ideal audience member -- a frequent theatregoer who has also been a Green Day fan for years. I was and am only one of these things.
Tommy was nominated before the rules changed. 50 percent of the score must now have been written for that specific production. That is not the case with American Idiot.
