American Idiot Cast Cd/Stupid Question

I haven't seen the show yet. I see it on May 6. I Haven't heard any of the Broadway Cast/Music. But while looking at the selections on Amazon for the cd, Green Day is listed on every song with the cast. " Green Day and the broadway cast" My question to anybody who has heard selections from the cast cd, is Green Day on the vocals with the Broadway Cast? And if so, in my opinion, this is not really a Broadway Cast cd. And if anyone knows why they chose to do this, other than maybe to sell more cds to Green Day fans, please let me know. Thanks

On the OCR, Green Day plays the instruments for the songs (with the exception of 'When It's Time,' which Gallagher plays himself as he does in the show). Also, there's a bonus track which is Green Day's version of the previously unreleased 'When It's Time.'

Thank You....sorrano916. I was hoping that was the case. But it is funny the cd lists Green Day first...then the Broadway cast. I hope I am not the only person who may have assumed they were on the vocals also. It should have read the Broadway Cast and Green Day or with Green Day.

Amazon is not always correct with its artist listings, often attributing songs to the entire cast, the composer, the conductor or even someone else entirely.

i can not find the show at borders.com so will it be there on the 20th.

The CD is supposedly in the theater already, it will definitely be there by the 20th.

Artman, you weren't the only one who thought. I too thought that. I was very disappointed when I read that on Amazon. I don't think it would be right of Green Day to sing with the cast on the cast album, but thank goodness they're just playing instruments for the good majority of the album.

I saw the show yesterday and the cr wasn't at the theatre yet
