Peter Dinklage, Lupita Nypng'o, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sandra Oh to star in Shakespeare in the Park's TWELFTH NIGHT

If you're close to it, they have the in-person lottery at The Public everyday. I feel like that's the option most people don't know about/try.

Does BC/EFA still do Easter Bonnet?

Jakeevan942 said: "The 6-week in-theater appeal Easter Bonnet fundraising season is still happening.

All that is not happening is the 2-day Easter Bonnet Competition variety show at the end of the fundraising cycle.
"

Last year, instead of the Easter Bonnet, they did Hats Off to You, which was a smaller variety show of sorts that was for certain levels of donors (a meal took place after the show). It took place at the Hard Rock Cafe and was hosted by the late Gavin Creel. I'm assuming they're do the same this year.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live to perform in London in 2025

As someone who was into the earlier SeraMyu productions (around Miyuki and Marina stages but went back & watched Anza and Fumina's stages on VHS... LOL...), I am intrigued by this. I might catch it when it's in the NYC area.

When understudies SHOULD have gone
 Jan 16 2025, 12:42:47 PM

This was a time when an understudy went on... and maybe there could have been another way...

There was a performance of American Idiot where Alysha Umphress was out as well as Aspen Vincent, who was a swing and did Alyssa's part in "Too Much Too Soon" if Alysha was out. So, Lorin Latarro, who was the other swing as well as associate choreographer & dance captain, had to go on in that role. It was not pretty, unfortunately. Especially the final riffs that ended the

I heard that Cabaret is taking a bit longer on autographing things as Auliʻi is out for Moana 2.

Last I saw, Gatsby had posters for $200 and Playbills for $75.

Election Week 2024 Schedule
 Nov 4 2024, 01:34:28 AM

For this week, a majority of Bway shows switched their regular Tuesday evening performance to Monday so that they would be dark on Election Day. Some even move their usual Wednesday matinee to Sunday evening.

Just sharing in case anyone was looking for the show schedules this week.

Gavin Creel has passed away
 Oct 7 2024, 10:10:11 AM

West End theatres that Gavin performed at will dim their lights.

"West End theatres to dim lights for Gavin Creel" by The Stage's Matthew Hemley - "The Society of London Theatre has confirmed to The Stage that the Adelphi, where Creel performed in Waitress, as well as the Prince of Wales, where he starred in The Book of Mormon, the Prince Edward - where he appeared in Mary Poppins - and the Gielgud, where he was part of Hair, will all dim their lights in his honour."

Dylan Smith4 said: "It is still disrespectful for them to "partially" dim the lights. When we lose a valued member of this community, we dim ALL the lights! I really hope the West End does the same thing, as he was very loved here, too!"

According to this latest Whatsonstage article:

There are currently no plans to dim the West End lights for Creel. However, Marisha Wallace and the Actor’s Church will host a candlelight vigil to commemorate award-winning stage star. The vigil will take place on Sunday 6 October at the Actor’s Church at 6.30pm, lasting an hour.

Wallace said in a statement: “London was Gavin’s second home and he did four shows in the West End. The Book of Mormon, Hair, Waitress and Mary Poppins. We will get together and share our beautiful memories of our friend. Fellow castmates, crew, friends and fans please come.”

Kad said: "Theaters will be dimming lights in honor of Creel on a date/time tbd... but not all theaters will be dimmed, which feels.. a little insulting?

"To honor his memory, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of one theater from every Theater Owner on Broadway, including the Circle in the Square, Helen Hayes, Marquis, New Amsterdam, Samuel J. Friedman, Shubert, Stephen Sondheim, St. James, Studio 54, Todd Haimes, and Vivian Beaumont theatres at a date and time to be coordinated with the family at their request"
"

If there were going to pick and choose, they could have just gone with just those on 44th/45th Street or include more theaters he performed in like Hirschfeld, Horne, O'Neill.

BCEFA flea market 2024 collectors unite
 Sep 23 2024, 12:14:16 AM

I wasn't expecting much today. I went around noon. Was surprised that 44th was completely closed off but the tables were only on one side. 45th was chaos with the matinee lines forming. So many people bottlenecked, and then the security at Outsiders got upset when people had to move their stanchions to get by, even those in wheelchairs.

I ended up not getting anything today as I honestly was looking for one thing - The Last Ship glass (it has "f**k the Bishop" on the

Strong performances by all, especially Larry Yando as Snape."

When you say 30 minutes cut from the original text? Do you mean from the original  Two Part version? Or from the reduced

No, there's an actual pool of water in the Bway & West End production. I'm also assuming it's not in the touring production.

It's after the scene you share above. Basically, after they make Cedric fly away, they appear in the lake on stage below. Well, Scorpius shows up in the lake and is met by Umbridge.

Later, right before Snape gets caught by the dementor, Scorpius gets back into the lake. And when the timeline is restored, he pops up and then Albus before getting caught by the parents again.

Is October too early for Broadway Cares Windowcards?
 Sep 10 2024, 08:08:56 PM

Fall Buckets started October 20 last year so it might be around the same this year. However, it runs for six weeks so the first couple of weeks, not everyone is participating yet or has anything to offer.

On social and on the website, they seemed to have removed "cast" before "illness" so it might be more backstage and crew members than cast.
