Funny. The great thing about hairspray is that chubby girls everywhere have a show that they can audition for as Tracy and yet they will cast thin people and put fat suits on them? How is that different than not allowing Jonathan Price to perform as The Engineer?

Posted: 2/23/04 at 8:22amThe Mirvishes are the producers up here so this will be a total recreation of the show. i believe the director is coming up to stage it. The Mirvishes tho prefer to use unknowns to keep $ down. There is a Vancouver actor who is being hinted @ for Edna but NOBODY seems to know if he can sing or dance! I will certainly attend & review. For other Toronto shows see Robs ref on Canstage. There will also be productions of the Last 5 Years & Urinetown. When you combine it with the Shaw & Stradford scheds it will be an awsome year. Y'all come!
