Can't wait to hear what you guys/girls think about her Elphaba.

I saw her in Chicago and she was fantastic. I can't wait to see her in the role again on October 19th. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, I'm really interested to hear what the NYC audience has to say about her Elphie. I've heard a lot of the Chicago reviews, but I want to know how the audience (who have seen Idina, Sho, & Eden) react after seeing her interpretation. I'm really excited about seeing her, but I'm not going until January.

"For example, if I should paint my fingernails green - and it just so happens I do paint them green. Well, if anyone should ask me why, I say: 'I think it's pretty!'"

I Saw her a couple times in Chicago and think he is the BEST Elphaba ever-- and yes, I saw Idina.

Ana is really, really, really great.

Ana's a little bit...emotional. I'm sure she'll improve, but I can't say that I'm too thrilled with her coming to the Broadway production. No offense.

I've seen Idina, Sho, Eden, and Ana as Elphaba and she was my second favorite behind Idina. I throught she was amazing in the role.

She totally blew me away in Reefer Madness. Wish I could see her in Wicked. Looking forward to reading the reviews.

I am in the minority of those who do not like Gasteyer in this role.

I have loved Ana in almost everything she has ever done, from SNL to Funny Girl to Reefer Madness, but I just didn't buy her in the role of Elphaba. She loses that youthful essence in Act 1, and looks much too old through all of the Shiz scenes. Why her voice was suprisingly good, it is nowhere near the 'powerhouse' that suits this score so well. Her acting was her strongest asset, and she conveyed the emotions of the character well, but I felt her Act 2 Elphaba needed to be much "bigger." More emotion, more presence, more anger..

Hopefully, she will improve once she gets to New York.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
