Hey everyone! I just bought me and my sister tickets to see Anastasia on Broadway while it's in previews. I'm super excited but I have never seen a preview of a show before, so I wanted to know if there's going to be huge differences between this and the finished version. I got tickets for April 23rd, and opening night is the 24th so I'm thinking that I'm going to see a 99% finished product since its already been a finished product in Hartford and its the literal performance before, but I just wanted if anyone with preview experience had anything to add! Thanks!
Also, does anyone know if they sell merch during previews? I collect souvenir playbills from all the musicals I've seen and am hoping to get one for this as well!

If you're seeing it the day before opening, the show will be "frozen" and the reviews will already have been written to be published the next evening.
As far as merch goes, it's unlikely that a souvenir program will have been produced by then, but you can expect the t-shirts, mugs, etc.

Because you're seeing the show only a day before opening, the show should be basically locked in at that point. Earlier in previews, however, it is common for there to be changes (including re-writes, re-staging of scenes, etc depending on the show). And yes, they should be selling merch! Enjoy the show!!
Be sure to come back and tell us how you liked it. I saw it at Hartford but won't get a chance to see it again until after previews.
It will DEFINITELY be frozen by then. That being said, with an out of town, there won't likely be many major changes during previews anyway.....but you just never know. Often it's more about tightening up and finding the show's rhythm.
Of course, there are exceptions to this.

Thanks everyone! I was pretty sure it would be frozen, just wanted to make sure :)
I'm so excited! I'll report back after I see it (in six months omg so far away)
