The quality of the show be damned, just make sure my name is in the title!
Sounds like him, really, if you stop to think about it.
Yes, sounds exactly like him. What a douche.
Is this an actual quote by him? What is this?

Andrew Lloyd Webber Not Pleased with Phantom Vegas Naming?
"The Strip" - a Las Vegas celebrity interview podcast talked with Andrew Lloyd Webber (on phone via London) about the upcoming Vegas production of the show. On the interview, Webber expresses surprise about the naming (Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular) noting "To be honest, you lose me on that. I didn't know that. I thought it was to be called 'Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera.' ... I'm not being disingenuous. I did not know that. It's a long way away and I don't get to see everything." He covers a bunch of other topics as well, including the possibility of his other shows heading to Vegas, and more."
When Patti LuPone wins her Tony this Sunday, I hope they pan to Andrew Lloyd Webber's face. I would love that.
Oh me too, munkustrap178!

Oh my God! That would be amazing. He's such a douchebag. Honestly, a bag of douche.

Is there a feud with Andy Loyd Webber and Patti LuPone?

Yeah--she's his baby momma, but he don't wanna step up and take responsibilty.
Hang on...
What?
Patti and Andrew have a child together at he refuses to be involved? Surely this is not what you mean...?

They've been in a feud for over a decade because she fell victim to his doucheness.

wait, did she really have a baby with him?
i feel stupid asking that...
or does it mean they just didnt get along? hmmm...
Can you imagine Sondheim saying, "I thought they were calling it 'Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd!"
Of course, he wouldn't even be in an interview like this talking about his latest mounting of "Passion du Soleil" either.
Oyyyy... *shakes head* Be prepared for a "I was taken out of context!!" press release pretty soon...

I don't think he meant it the way it came out. But either way, it does seem sorta douchey (how many times can we say that on one thread?).

See...I don't see why he gives a ****? What the hell is with all these people and their "I-have-more-money-than-god-but-I'll-be-damned-if-I'm-ever-happy!" syndrome? Somehow I seriously doubt they're going to leave his name out of the program. They bought the rights, he obviously said "I don't care what you name it" and now that they've named it something else, he cares?
Meh...
Can you tell I don't like Andrew Lloyd Webber? LuPone deserves that Tony, I saw Sweeny on Saturday, it was awesomeness...I hope he weeps....
As I understand it Patti and Lloyd Webber had some sort of falling out during Sunset Blvd. I seem to recall her saying something like, Andrew Lloyd Webber hates women, about the roles he writes for women in his shows. Anyway, she did not go on to play Norma Desmond on Broadway seemingly as a result of their mutual hatred. Something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong. And yes, I agree, Andrew Lloyd Webber=douche bag

Well, to hear some people talk, you'd think Andrew Lloyd Webber was God.
After all, he gave us His Holy Hotness Gerard Butler as the Phantom of the Opera.
And that's how a character who is in essence a voice teacher should SOUND, dammit!!!!!!!!!!!! ALW SAID so!
*end sarcasm*
Oh yeah, Webber hates women so much that all of his female characters are the "heroes" and are a lot tougher than the male characters. I think Lupone is a good actress, but she is the Diana Ross of the musical world (in my opinion). Watching her in the preview of the next GOLDEN AGE dvd series, it was like she was thinking that it was a dvd about her or something. But, this board was created for Webber bashing, so what do I expect.

Patti Lupone was contracted to do the B'way debut of Sunset Blvd, but with the success of Glenn Clos in the role, he decided he wanted to use her instead and snuffed Patti. But I'm sure they paid out her contract or something. I'm sure she made a lot of money outta the deal.
Yeah, and if Webber is a douche, what does that make Cameron Mackintosh? God, I wish they would get over themselves.
