I don't think anyone minds your modest praise of the piece. But the premise in your last sentence is false: it's chicken and egg. There are those who think it was not a great choice for a variety of reasons but that's on KC3 or his handlers.
As someone who didn't watch Queen Elizabeth's coronation when they showed it on tv for her anniversaries, etc. I had no expectation for what the music was to sound like.
The man wrote a church hymn that sounded like all the other music in the celebration. I don't think I was expecting a "Heaven on Their Minds" type of song
