I am going to see the 3pm Little Night Music on Sunday Dec 20. Anyone know if she comes out the stage door on 1 show days or if she sneaks out a different door?

Thanks

I've been to the show twice and no success at seeing our beloved Angie come out, and believe me I was attentive, and each time I got into long conversations with people and waited a long time as a result. I have no idea at all how she is gettiing out of this theatre unless she is staying until the wee hours of the morning. She must be pretty tired. She is really giving the cream of her energy to this performance. If you want something autographed your best bet is mailing it to the stage door with a pre-postaged envelope so that she can send it back to you.

I get the impression that Miss Lansbury is trying to let CZJ be "the star" with the star responsibilities this time. Stage door appearances might be part of that. I haven't seen any interviews with Angela, and she seemed to be trying very hard to direct audience focus away from herself and to Hanson and Zeta-Jones when they came out for their bows. I suspect that she wants to be an effective working actress rather than the star who gets all the attention and carries the show single-handed. Of course, it's a disappointment for anyone who wants to thank her in person for her brilliant work.

Angela did not want to be "the star," and she wasn't even going to do it, according to an article I read, unless Catherine would be cast as her daughter. I think Miss Lansbury didn't want to be the leading lady, because she didn't want such a responsibility this time. I do wonder if, just for this reason, Angela may not win her sixth Tony, and instead it might be more likely that Catherine might win the award. I am respectful of Angela's wish not to have the usual focus on herself, although in my heart, Miss Lansbury is still "the star," regardless that her name may not be first up on that marquee. *winks*

Not that I know this for a fact, but the stage doors for the Kerr and the O'Neill are connected. Jane Fonda would use the Kerr door. I seen it.

Angela will not be competing against Catherine. Madame Armfeldt is a featured role, and Angela will be in that respective category. It's a great role, but it's not very large.

And yes, it's true that Angela only wanted to do the production if they got a star as Desiree.

But not necessarily Catherine, as ElizabethAngela's posted implied.

Right. Catherine was a very last minute choice, as most of us know.
