Hmm, you are probably right, but is there anypoint in getting "knighted" in the USA. Unlike Commonwealth countries, it is only an "honorary" term, and your not permitted to use the "dame" or "sir" prefix!
I have no idea why she's still only CBE. I also don't know where is her way overdue Honorary Oscar. Sadly, I don't think she will get any of those honors.
Funny how from now on, her current co-star and Ms. Lansbury are both Commanders of the Order of the British Empire and yet Catherine Zeta-Jones is only 40 years old.
She is probably the worlds most classy lady! I'm obsessed. I think her part needed to be bigger in Little Night Music
I doubt that she would be given the DBE (Dame) nod as she lives in the U.S. Although Dame Elizabeth Taylor spends most of her time Stateside.
Are these "titles" really all that important? What matters is that she leads a good, long prosperous life, loving her family and doing what she does best. Those are the important things in this life. Not awards or titles.
And let me tell you Miss Angela Lansbury doesn't need the awards or titles. She's magnificent enough already as it is.
