Angela Lansbury sings Love And Love Alone from The Visit

As many of you know, The Visit was developed specifically as vehicle for Angela Lansbury's Broadway return and was set to open in 2001. But due to her her husband illness Ms. Lansbury had to drop out from several projects at that time, including the music.
She was replaced by Chita Rivera, but sadly the show never made it Broadway.

Both versions are beautiful and to my mind, they could've not find a better replacement than the wonderful Ms. Rivera.

Of course, it would have been great to see Ms. Lansbury play the lead role in a Broadway musical after all those years, but she had do what was right for her family. She also turned down the lead role in Tea with Mussolini (1999) and the part of Betsey Trotwood in David Copperfield (1999) for the same reason. Joan Plowright and Maggie Smith replaced her.
