Angels in America - audition help!
#0Angels in America - audition help!
Posted: 9/22/04 at 8:53amI got called back for "Angels in America" today. The callback is at 6. I read some of the scenes last night, but I would appreciate it if someone could give me detailed breakdowns of the main male roles (Roy Cohn, Prior Walter - that's the part I want-). Thanks in advance.

With all due respect, go to Barnes and Noble, Borders or wherever and buy the script and then read it. Tonight.
This goes for any play you get an audition for and that is readily available. This also goes for anyone reading this post. You need to start building a play library anyway.
A cast breakdown for Angels will do you no good since it is the interactions of the characters as well as their inner lives that bring the roles to life.
I know this sounds harsh, but there are many things you cannot get from a computer and this is one of them.
Best of luck. Are both plays being done? Get the role and keep us posted. Prior Walter is a doozie as he is a main role in both plays.

Thanks for the response. Yes, both parts are being done.
Actually, we're doing both "The Laramie Project" and "Angels..." simultaneously. I'll be sure to post what I got (crosses fingers).
Thanks again.
