Haha it's no big deal. I was just beeing nit-picky like everyone else on these boards is
Also, I see what you mean, but this is what I think is going on with her right now:
She's taking this job and looking for others. She's not just taking it and being satisfied. She's young and her agents are probably trying to find something just right for her. Why does she have to be unemployed while looking? She doesn't. So, she took the job while in search of more that is out there.

Posted: 4/18/08 at 12:24amI wouldn't worry. She likely has outs for everything including film and television jobs, and the tradition has been for actresses to get way more out of town after their initial run on Broadway with Wicked. Salaries have been known to tripple or more. I wouldn't worry about Ms. Ashford, she has one of the best management/agent teams in NYC between Beth Rosner and Cornerstone. She's probably just working on her down payment.

That's fine if all is well in Gotham. I'll go back to what I do which, today anyway is get turned down on two pitches in a row. It's even worse for writers than actors.
I can't blame the &^^%$%$^&ing writer.
(But my partners can and do!!!)
G'night.

Sorry to threadnap. Just a photo I took yesterday at the old Warner's Hollywood studio where I'm working (for the person who requested it, I've stuck it in here). Now it's called "The Lot." (wow, that took a great deal of creative energy, huh?)
The building used to be the office of Billy Wilder. They filmed "Sunset Blvd." here.

"How's Annaleigh do for Glinda?"
The answer to that question completely depends on who you ask. I can't stand her in that role, but she has her admirers.

Lisa Brescia will be Elphaba opposite Annaleigh. They both are beginning this Tuesday (June 3rd). They have limited contracts only through the summer; where it is then rumored that they are going to try to get the original Chicago cast back for closing.
THEY ARE BOTH AMAZING! I saw them on April 22nd in NYC and they were well just out of this world.

Not sure about Glinda, but Dee Roscioli is closing the show as Elphaba, not Ana Gasteyer.

Lisa is leaving in August, and Dee will be closing the show. Not sure about the final Glinda. And Garson001, August 26th might be the exact date when Dee is returning, so if that's true then you will be seeing her first night back.
And to answer your question about Annaleigh's Glinda... um, well I never saw Erin Mackey, but I hear that her and Annaleigh are really different. I adore Annaleigh, but people have different opinions. I don't really know what else to say. So you might have to warm-up to Annaleigh's Glinda and may end up really enjoying her. I know the fans in Chicago are probably really used to Erin and miss her, but if you guys give Annaleigh a chance, she won't disappoint! That girl just loves to perform, and not to mention a complete sweetheart at the stage door too. I do hope you enjoy her though.
And anyone who goes, please post reviews!

legally_popular,
I will be there on Annaleigh and Lisa's first night this tuesday. I will also be there tomorrow for Kate F. and Dee's last day together.
I have seen Annaleigh 11 times now(12th on tuesday and I can't wait). Each and every time her performance was different. You can see the wheels in her head turning while she's performing. Thinking of what she's gonna do next...LOL. She is very different from Erin Mackey. Erin wasn't as spazzy as Annaleigh is IMO.

Well, I have seen Annaleigh as both Margot and Glinda, and I can say she really only brings one Legally Blonde thing to Wicked and that is when she says "it's all because of me". Actually, after seeing Sex and the City last night (in which Annaleigh had like a 15 second part), I can tell you that it is just her, she is not being to Legally Blondish because she was just Annaleigh in Legally Blonde with a stage name, she happens to be kind of ditzy, spazzish, but amazing in what ever she does. Chicago is in for a huge treat; especially being that it is Annaleigh and Lisa, they have amazing chemistry together, and are both amazing nice at the stage door!

Rondi Reed was always coming back as Morrible, that's why she's leaving August (sadly). Gene Wygandt, with the exception of a brief sabbatical, never left.
