SO...wait...what?
Is this a special that the Street is doing, like when Slimey went to space in the mid/late 90s...or is this an entirely seperate thing?
Wait. Stage veteran Christina Applegate?

"Wait. Stage veteran Christina Applegate?"
Chrsitina Applegate appeared on Broadway as the lead in the revival of "Sweet Charity" and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Musical. She did regional theatre in her earlier years as well.

I'm aware of that. I saw her. She was great. But I'd hardly call her (or Van der pol for that matter) a "stage veteran".

Anneliese was the last Belle in "Beauty & the Beast" and originated a role in an Off-Broadway musical. She also did regional theatre in her earlier years as well. I edited my original post.

What I'd like to know is what is this thing called Hunnakah? Is that the celebration of Attila the Hun's birthday? Do people who celebrate it pillage for 8 days?
Yeah but a couple stage credits don't a veteran make.

That's why I edited my post.
I thought it was a joke...is "Applegate" a jewish last name?
How many wars do you have to be in, to be a war veteran?
One.
But I think it is a poor choice of words also.
LOL!
Rehov sumsum is coming back to America? yay! I remember we used to watch the 80s or was it early 90s version in Hebrew school and it had Jeremy Miller and I think Sarah Jessica Parker on it. Is Kippy ben Kippod still on the show? Oh, yay:) My childhood is back:)
Oh Pillage, rape and loot and burn
And all in moderation,
Here's one rule that you must learn
If you would rule the nation.
FIRST kill all your enemies
THEN kill their relations.
Pillage , rape and loot and burn and all in moderation!
Just remember it's always rape pillage THEN burn
cos if you burn 1st you have nothing left to rape, loot and pillage!
(sung to the tune of supercalafragilisitic as per the SCA)
I think that's kinda of stupid..
The Society for Creative Anachronisim IS kinda stupid.

This is all fine and dandy, but why just the Jewish angle? I mean, the same sort of program could be done for Italian children, Hispanic children and/or Polish children...just to mention a few. It would be nice for youngsters of all backgrounds to get a keener grasp of their heritage and culture.
Sesame Street exists in almost every culture dollypop. I'm sure this is just a jumping off point. And with Israel in the news lately, kids are likely to have lots of questions. I think it's a good place to start.

rwlevin they did have it in the early 90s with Sarah Jessica Parker, Mary Tyler Moore, and a bunch of other people. I still have them on VHS! Can't wait to see what they do with it now!
and veteran is a poor choice of words for these two, but understandable I suppose.
