As a long distance member[Australia] and very unlikely to visit NY again, was interested to know if Annie was being well received now[I see houses are above average],will Jane Lynche be a positive, and if Anthony Warlow was doing any outside performances to showcase his remarkable voice ? Thanks.

No one's seen Jane Lynch yet, so I'm not sure what you mean about "a positive." You mean for the box office?

Warlow has been rather hermity and I think has only performed in one thing (a benefit) since he got here. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

Thanks Lizzie re Warlow-just wish he was showing off that glorious voice more. And by 'positive'-I have read such conflicting reports on how Miss Hannigan is played in this version-we will just have to wait and see how Jane Lynch interprets the role[or is allowed to] and what affects it has on the box office.

I can't discuss Jane Lynch's performance because she hasn't even started rehearsals, but I did see Katie Finneran in the role last week and loved her. She plays Hannigan as an over-sexed boozie who isn't far removed from the "owl lady" in PROMISES PROMISES. That doesn't mean Lynch will play it the same way. If the director is worth his salt, he'll encourage Lynch to find her own way into the role.

"She plays Hannigan as an over-sexed boozie"

That seems to be most people's biggest critiques against Carol Burnett's performance in the movie version, so I'm curious why they would have had Katie replicate that onstage.

I'll admit that I haven't been in a big rush to see it, but I do love Jane Lynch from her work in Christopher Guest's movies so I may actually be inclined to check it out once she steps in.

My visit to ANNIE was a very nice experience. I saw the original production several times (Louden, Ghostly, Connell and Hutton). This time I was impressed with how well structured the show was and it was a pleasure to hear the score once again.

I'll probably be taking my granddaughter to see the show in a few weeks.

how have tickets been? Living in CA, i've yet to see it. Wasn't sure how long the run will be going for [obviously thru summer with Jane Lynch joining] but how about after?
I'm extremely excited to hear the recording [I wish I could find the clip of Little Girls that was deleted...]
