My problem with Ellis was that I was looking forward to one of the amazing performances she was doing in London. However, I didn't get that. I got far from it. I understand that she was sick and didn't have a lot of resting time between finishing her run in London and comming to America. However, she was below sub par.
I understand that she was sick and that she was performing while sick. But, I think it is a bit much to have her first full week of performances since she started be this past week. She sang the score note for note as written and didn't do anything like riffs or anything like that. I also found her fake American accent rather annoying and didn't understand why she didn't use her regular British accent. I mean Menzel an American didn't use an English accent while performing the show in London. It is oz it is a fake place. Accents shouldn't matter. So why is she trying so hard to do an American accent espically when she goes in and out of it all the time.
I think that if she is sick then she shouldn't be going on. Espcially if it is impacting her performances which it clearly is.
