Another Little Women musical?

The thing is, it's such a great novel, and it works REALLY REALLY well as a musical. Personally, I love LOVE the original broadway cast recording, especially the duet between Beth and Jo..absolutley beautiful. While it's not the best score over all, there are songs that are major show stoppers. I'd be really excited for another musical. Only with good advertising so it can actually GO somewhere.

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

I'm wondering if they would consider the people from the recent LW to be leads... I don't know if they would say yes, or if they wouldn't bother asking. I do love the book though, so I hope this one works out, though I loved the original show... flaws & all. [Well, maybe not ALL of the flaws

there are a ton of little women musical adaptations. the Howland/Dickstein was the first to reach Broadway (according to the IBDB) but, the original play by Marian De Forest ran for 184 performances with two separate revivals which I'm assuming were limited runs as they did not run long either. the musical ran for 137 performances so neither production was entirely successful... producers may be hard pressed to throw money at any future projects.
