I have a ticket for THEN SHE FELL in Brooklyn next Tuesday night at 10:30, which I am super excited about. I am flying into New York that day and should, barring any crazy flight delays, have time for a show that evening which I am planning on purchasing on the ground. I am likely going to limit myself to plays two hours or less as to be out by 9 - How much time should I leave to get from the theater district to Brooklyn at that time of evening?

Need to know where in Brooklyn you are going. Once you have an address use Google maps, it should tell you how long the transit time. To be safe, you can add an extra 20 mins or so to cushion for train delays, taking a wrong turn exiting the subway station, etc.

I lived in Gravesend in Brooklyn for 2 years, which is close to Coney Island. One night I was on the subway and a mom kept telling her two restless kids that they were almost there. I asked where they were going and the answer was, "Brooklyn." Well, they had been in Brooklyn for about 15 stops already. Brooklyn is huge. How long it's going to take to get there will depend on which area you need to go.

the OP told us where s/he was going-to Then She Fell.

I'd give an hour to get there, assuming the L train is not offline. Personally, I'd probably just take an Uber et al at that time.
