Oh Mary Tour Feb 23 2026, 03:16:11 PM
This is not a typical tour, from the couple of dates that have been announced, it looks like it is playing week-long stops in a limited number of venues, at least to start with. So I think it's not inconceivable that the entire tour performance window would be six to eight weeks, similar to a broadway contract. I think if we see a "name" on tour, it will likely be Jinkx - this is admittedly based on zero inside knowledge, just the idea that she's the right level of famous to

Did they have stools for that? Are they higher than the rest? Just curious about seating."
It was general admission seating for that, three or four rows of normal chairs, no stools I recall.

I have to say I agree about Morrison. When I saw him opposite Krakowski, I missed the rage that Ricamora, Nanjiani, and Philip Brennan brought to the role. If Abe is not driven by primal rage and priviledge, his scenes with Mary aren't properly balanced. He's solid; I enjoyed some of his take, but overall not a performance I particularly enjoyed.

GALILEO to Open at the Shubert Theatre, Fall 2026 Feb 10 2026, 12:07:29 PM
Saw the show multiple times in Berkeley; the show's point of view is about a three-way clash of science, the church and faith and it's an interesting piece. The show never takes the easy take of "Science good religion bad" but does take an overall view of the Catholic Church. The show needed some tightening and focus, but there was some great songs and some interesting writing happening - it remains to be seen how much they've changed but I know from a friend i

RAGTIME 2025 Reviews Feb 9 2026, 08:38:23 PM
I've noticed that Tom Nelis has been doing a production of KING LEAR for a short run at La Mama the past few weeks; he's still on or back on the show's website; does anyone know who played Grandfather while he was out?
EDIT: Never mind, found it. It was Paul Slade Smith.

I am. Haven’t missed an inauguration day since Jinkx’s first one. What I am hearing inside is to expect a performance that is very serpentine, with venom."
So....like a horny snake in a newspaper cartoon?

Does Sean cover Mary's teacher now as well? or just the assistant?

It is taking them so long to announce this casting it is starting to feel personal, LOL.
Jenn is reportedly staying through January, so I think they're bringing in a new Husband and Teacher.

OH, MARY! Reviews Sep 22 2025, 11:22:55 AM
I mean....they gotta tell us this week, right? Like, whoever is playing opposite Jane will be in rehearsal starting next week, assuming a two-week rehearsal period.
Do we think it likely Julian will be bumped up to a full-time Mary's Teacher for Hannah's run? Or just given the role outright?

Is Tony oK? He's been out more than he's been on this month. Any word on whether he is continuing on with the show, or if he is leaving at the end of the month?

I'm so curious how the Ford's Theatre/Finalequick change works. The evening I saw Jinkx, Kumail and Martin Landy definitely see

She's a draw, and word of mouth will be good, but I expect tickets to be available for a bit. Having additional names as the teacher or Mary's husband might change that.

So, Kate McKinnon was reportedly attached to be the first replacement for Cole, and then it fell through for whatever reason, and that's how we got Betty Gilpin. So is it possible that the stars have now aligned on that? I would not be mad. But I'll be lighting a candle for it to Maya Rudolph, who would be a true gay fantasia on national themes.

Dang, I had really hoped Urie would still be with the show when I have tickets on October 18th. Alas. The Fomo is very real, y'all.
My current dream for this is Megan Mullalley and Nick Offermann as the Lincolns.

Yeah, I had very little obstruction from Row B on the right side aisle back in April. I'd prefer to be more center and father back for a first time viewing, but honestly I caught a lot of great detail in the performances. The Saloon scene is the place which is most heavily impacted, but I didn't have a huge issue.

I caught Martin as Simon/Kyle back in March, he was indeed terrific in the role! I think he's also been on as Abraham at least a couple of times.

Yeah, they may have a vacation cover for those days just to be on the safe side.
