I'm seeing Wicked, Brooklyn, Light In The Piazza, and Avenue Q. Are there any amazing understudies I should look out for in case I get any at the particular shows I go to?
Some of the understudies that I enjoy..
In Wicked (though he isn't the only u/s for the role of Boq) Robb Sapp is incredible.
For Avenue Q, Howie Michael Smith (u/s Prineton/Rod) and Peter Linz (u/s Nicky, Trekkie, Bear #2, Brian) and Aymee Garcia (u/s Kate Monster/Lucy) are fantastic.
Either way, both shows have great casts and you'll have a great time!
Have fun!

I did not really enjoy Peter Linz too much.

Wicked has Kristy Cates for Elphaba however Saycons voice squeaks alot. Megan and Stacie are both amazing as well.

Brooklyn HAD Sara Schmidt, an AMAZING understudy, but she left the show, so I dont know.
Shelley Thomas ( u.s. Brooklyn/Paradice/Faith). I saw her as Paradice and she's amazing.
Haneefah Wood is a fantastic Paradice and I second Aymee Garcia for Lucy/Kate
I saw Ann Sanders play CHRISTMAS EVE.
Big shoes to fill and she was terrific.

I've heard she's fantastic, Curtain.
I thought Peter Linz was very good and looked more the role of a semi-slacker than Jordan Gelber (who is excellent in the role.) The line where Christmas Eve sings "Only see fat and lazy" really doesn't apply to Peter, though, he is quite tall and thin.
I liked Ann Sanders when i went to Avenue Q she was really great!
Should you miss Victoria Clark in Piazza, her understudy is Patti Cohenour, who is wonderful as Fabrizio's mother and has been reported to give a lovely performance in Clark's role. Hopefully you won't miss her -- Clark gives the greatest performance of the year -- but just in case you do, the role is in good hands.

The same person is a Brooklyn and Paradise understudy? She probably is amazing.

Shannon Durig as Tracy Turnblad! She is excellent!
I absolutely ADORED Megan Hilty as Glinda in Wicked
Jenna Leigh Green (though i haven't seen her..but how could she NOT be amazing??)
that I saw:
In Ny Colin Hanlon went on as Mark in Rent *instead of Drew Lachey* and was AWESOME! and hot too!
Saycon as Elphaba was pretty great..no Stephanie though!

Megan Hilty was amazing as Glinda. If you see her, you will love her. I love her voice more than JLT's.

I've always been extremely impressed (or at the very least, satisfied) with the Wicked understudies. I have yet to see an understudy for either Glinda or Elphaba who I've blatantly disliked.
Hannefah as paradice, and DAMN...girl can SANNNG.

I prefer Angela Ai over Ann Sanders...but I think I'm one of few.
Jennifer Hughes for Kelli O'Hara in Light in the Piazza. I did Caberet with her, she's very good, and i can tottaly see her in that role
In Wicked, Megan Hilty as Glinda and Kristoffer Cusick as Fiyero - they're both fantastic.
In Avenue Q, Ann Sanders was fantastic!
Ann Sanders, dare I say, was better than Ann Harada...
SAYCON SENGBLOH is awesome!
What's the show like with a black woman playing Elphaba?
