Has anyone heard any more? New York? London?

Time will tell...

i will sell anyone's kidneys that i have to!!!!
Oooh, how I love Sueleen's posts - always pure and without agenda.
I haven't heard anything new, but Tom would know at least as much as I.

Whatever, Rath. My Mother and Aunt are planning a trip to London next Spring and I told them this was a possibility. They were so excited at the prospect. I was asking for them, but of course, for some reason you have to imply that I have some "agenda", whatever the hell that means. And you wonder why people can't stand you.
Please, if anyone hears anything let us know. Thanks.
Very convincing.
Again, you wonder why people can't stand you? Seriously.
Rath, I only know of two people who can't stand you and not too many people think very highly of them either.
But, in case you're wondering, I'm crazy about ya!
Get a room.
Anyway, if anyone hears anything please let us know.
Thanks.
I would love to see Patti's take on Mama Rose. How old is she?
PS: Rath- The idea that you are looking for hidden agendas on a broadway message board is a little juvenile, don't you think? At what point did this board go from a broadway-discussion-board to the secret files of the Bush administration? Just admit you were only interested in causing a ruccus, and we can all go back to discussing the topic you disrespected and interrupted. Thank you, hope all is well :)
Sorry, Taboo, but clearly you don't know the history here, and the fact that Sueleen brought up Yonkers confirms that it is agenda-filled.
Anyway, like I said, I haven't heard anything new, and Tom would know at least as much, if not more, than I.
Get a sense of humor, Rath. It was a joke. What is the least likely place Patti would perform this show? I really hope you are getting the help you so desperately need. You are not well.
Stop trying so hard.
Shouldn't you be in the meltdown thread right about now?
If Arthur Laurents is behind it, Patti DEFINITELY cannot do Gypsy! If there's one, u better hope that it's nothing to do with Arthur.
Actually, he IS behind it.
Well then, you won't hear Patti anymore...(sad)
No, he WANTS her in it. Yes, those are pigs you see flying by your window.
No... she was officially banned in the 1989 production by Arthur and he casted Tyne Dale instead. In 2003, Sam Mendes wanted Patti to do it, but Arthur banned the idea and wanted Bernadette Peters to do it. When Patti did Gypsy in R. Festival, Arthur refused to go to watch it. This is confirmed news for at least 10 years and community know what's happening...
The 2003 production was always Peters - that had been in the works for many years. Mendes came in late to the party, and wanted LuPone, but it was always a Peters vehicle.
Since Ravinia, Laurents has changed his tune.
With Patti now set to do The Rink in the West End (with hopes of New York transfer,) I think her doing Gypsy there has been shelved (at least temporarily.)
Is THE RINK confirmed?
An official announcement about The Rink hasn't been made yet, but the director of the Ambassador Theater Group (who is producing it) confirmed to the press this weekend that they are in negotiations with Patti and John Doyle.
Hmm. According to Tom, the GYPSY negotiations are going on now as well.
It's a race!

As much as I can't stand Lupone she really needs to do Gypsy. She was fantastic!!
