I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Patti effortlessly split herself in two and did both shows. This would only confirm my suspicions about her.

i've heard reputable buzz about The Rink as well. considering it's one of my favorite shows, i'm highly excited about it.

I certainly don't want to rock the boat, and Rath, you are a very credible poster here. It's just that I have also heard legit talk that Maria Friedman is doing it, and her sister is producing. I could be wrong, but I've heard it discussed seriously for weeks. Have you heard anything about it?

How do we know Laurents has changed his tune? Sorry, this is news to me. Did he see Patti at Ravinia?

But he has lifted the ban on LuPone playing Rose as the result of the acclaim she received at Ravinia. Talks are currently underway about her repeating the performance here in a concert version at some point (and it's possible that he would direct it). But, again, nothing is settled or official as of yet.

And that would explain how she did both parts of "A Boy Like That" at the same time.
I'm not sure which I'd rather her do more! Gypsy probably. But I want her to do both!

I really hope that Patti does do Gypsy. I saw her at Ravinia and she was phenomenal. I'd sell my firstborn to see her play Rose again!
