Bjh2114, true Marissa is a swing, but there are times swings do understudy roles. An example I can think of is Dawn Younker, who was a swing and an Eponine understudy on the U.S. tour.

Marissa is indeed covering Eponine as well as being a swing.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean that they weren't understudying roles. I just meant that in addition to covering some assigned roles, they will be swings covering the female ensemble roles as well. I don't know other of the female swings, so I wasn't able to predict what they would be covering!

Colle, a few other swings have covered roles, too. Scott Logsdon as Thénardier and Gregg Brandt as Enjolras. (There have been more, but those two come to mind.)
