Anyone Can Whistle

Is anyone going to the Anyone Can Whistle concert at Ravinia next month? I have a kick a$$ seat and am about to pass out, I'm so excited! (And my roommate calls me a theatre nerd. I don't know what she's talking about.)

Have a great time, and I wish you perfect weather. Ravinia is a beautiful venue, but the parking situation is terrible. I saw Bernadette Peters at Ravinia. What a blast.

Well, I don't drive, so I won't have to worry about that. Of course, there's the Metra situation to deal with after the show, which I hear is lovely. re: Anyone Can Whistle

Did anyone see Sunday in the Park with George last year? I did, and it was the BEST theater experience of my life!

Does anybody know if there are still good tickets available? I am contemplating coming back from school for the weekend just for this show. What an amazing cast!

re: Anyone Can Whistle

Hmmmm... I wouldn't fathom to guess. I bought mine immediately after they went on sale. Check out ravinia.org, though, and there should be a chart of what's still available, if anything. Good luck!!!

I am going! Can't wait....

We are planning on staying downtown and then taking the train up there. I've never been, as we are from St. Louis. Is this the best option for getting up there?

re: Anyone Can Whistle

The Metra train is the ONLY way to get there.

Chicago historical trivia: Ravinia was built by the railroad as a tourist destination to encourage people to take the train. The conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra refered to Ravinia as "The only train station in the world with its own concert venue!"

Im totally going. Got my lawn seats and my picnic basket, complete with wine:) AND My lawn chairs.

To all of us heading there, may we have good weather and no storms. Though I would happily sit in the rain to listen to Cerveris sing.
There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

I would sit in the midst of a volcano eruption to see Cerveris sing. I can't wait for Saturday!
