Anyone Going To 'Dreamgirls' in ATL?

Hello All.

Dreamgirls opens this week - July 18th. Just wondering if anyone is going to see it? I'm planning on going next Friday (7/27) to see it, but I wanted to hear about it before I made the trek. I'm interested to see how "big" the show is in terms of sets and orchestra and stuff. It's a HUGE theater, so I'm not sure how well attendence will be.

Did the trek to Atlanta back in 2002 to see Jennifer Holliday again in DREAMGIRLS.

I'll pass this time. I guess I'm just too burnt-out of all things DREAMGIRLS these days.

Hopefully someone might completely re-invent the show some day. THIS I'd love to see -- not the same old Michael Bennett staging.

I'm thinking about going. Only beacuse I want to have seen J. Hol. live ONCE in my life. (Of course, I don't want to see her in THIS role, but what can you do.)

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

Wish I could. Sounds like a can't-miss cast. Cindy Herron's my fave En Vogue lady!

And I, personally, don't care AT ALL for Holliday's voice nowadays, especially her "And I Am..." Did anyone see her at the BET Awards? I swear, she screeched the entire thing. The ending was especially heinous...But still, I want to be able to say I saw her in the role.
