Hi all,
I know this is my third attempt, but I have not received responses pertaining to the availability of some Signed Playbill offers. Anyway, does anyone have a Signed Darren Criss How To Succeed Playbill they are willing to sell for a reasonable price who has PayPal??? Thanks SO Much! :) -Alek

I have always wondered why anyone want someone else's autographed program? Isn't the reason for getting the autograph to authenticate the spectator's experience seeing the show with that performer and a remembrance of meeting that particular star?
Does having his autograph allow you to lie to friends and say you saw him in the show, met him and got his autograph?
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Posted: 1/6/13 at 3:23pm@ Frontrow, I agree with you. I purchased a Playbil signed by Patti LuPone b/c I found it for a great price and she is my favorite. I show it off in my collection, but it means much, much, less to me than it would had she signed it for me, to, and in front of me!

No offense, but what do you care if someone wants a signed playbill? Maybe they're a big fan of his and couldn't get it themselves. Maybe they want to give it as a gift to another fan. If collecting signed playbills/posters isn't your thing than don't collect them. But don't try to make it sound like people that do are weird and want to pretend they got it themselves to "sound cool".
I've got a thousand signed playbills and windowcards and most of them I got signed myself. Others I've bought on eBay or the flea market because I couldn't get them signed myself or in some cases I wasn't even alive when they were signed. But it's something that I enjoy having and don't need to pretend to anyone like I was someplace I wasn't.

Maybe he collects signed Playbills. Doing "that stagedoor thing" (at least to me) is a way of having something tangible and neat to remember that specific theatre experience. But I would consider purchasing a signed Playbill/other memorabilia if I was unable to attend a performance (e.g., being out of town, schedule conflict).

Posted: 1/6/13 at 8:50pmYes I am a Collector, not one of those people that show off saying I met him and all that stuff, but I would like this particular playbill because I waited for him outside the stage door, but the cops shut it down. I waited for 4-5 hours, and I want the satisfaction that my waiting was not wasted... also in reference to my name being male, you are indeed correct. Thank you. -Alek
