I saw the show one last time on Sunday. Adam Pascal was amazing!! I met him after the show and he was so nice.
ahh I wish Cabaret wasn't closing!!

Posted: 12/30/03 at 6:49pmI can't agree with you more. I really wish it could stay open longer. Adam is just incredible, and I'm glad I could catch him as the Emcee. Shows come and go. Maybe they'll revive this again in years to come. At least I'm hoping that's what they'll do.

Posted: 12/30/03 at 6:58pm"Cabaret" will always be special to be because it was my first Broadway show. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.

I know it's sad for big fans of the show (and I'm one), but remember that it's not too sad when a revival becomes one of the top 20 longest runs EVER on Broadway! This really is a triumphant closing as this revival was a HUGE success beyond anyone's expectations. AND....I'm excited because I will be there for the last performance! After seeing Matt McGrath and Raul Esparza as the Emcee, I can't wait to see Adam Pascal.
Hey, where's Cabarethed? Will you be at the last performance?

Posted: 12/30/03 at 8:06pmI'm disappointed I never went out and got tickets. I don't know, I was too busy with all the other musicals. I would have liked to see it though.

Posted: 12/30/03 at 8:08pma bit sad here too. I loved that show. i saw it with the original cast at an Actor's Fund performance and totally lost it during the curtain call.

oh my god i'm so sad. for the longest time my parents wouldn't let me see it because of the subject matter. they finally got over it, thankfully. i saw it for the first time in october (jon secada's last... by coincidence) and absolutely fell in love. then came the reports of adam as the emcee and of course i had to go again...
i'm going to the matinee on the 4th. i'm not ready to say goodbye, even though this will be my 3rd time. It's such a wonderful show, but I suppose all good things must come to an end. I'm really going to miss it. The fact that the second time, even though I knew what was coming, the ending still got to me is unbelievable. It's so effective... and that's what made the show so special for me. Hopefully there will be another revival not too far in the future.
Anyone going to the night show on the 4th... please post! I heard there's a party with the cast. I'd love to hear about it!

The show passed me as well and now I regret not seeing it.
I would have loved to see Molly Ringwald tackle the role of Sally for she is a great actress and going way back see Alan Cummings as the Emcee. I would also like to Adam Pascal, just because he looks like he'd give the Emcee a new flavor with his quite different, but yet appealing voice.

Posted: 12/31/03 at 12:40amAt least it will end gracefully, not drag on and on like the British Mega-Musicals. It will end on a high note and believe me they can hit them (badump ching!)

From cradle to tomb
Isn't that long a stay -
Life is a Cabaret"

Posted: 12/31/03 at 9:40amCabaret was a show I wanted to see for a LONG time, and finally got to see it in June. What an amazing production! I wish all the luck in the world to the cast members for their future endeavors.

Anyone going to the last performance definitely has to report back! I love the music in Caberet, but as I have an extremely conservative mother, she never let me see it.
She feels the content is still unappropriate........

Posted: 12/31/03 at 4:26pmeponine88: my mom was the same way. Finally when I heard it was supposed to close November 2nd I broke her (but by then I was 17, so she couldn't have an excuse much longer). She ended up loving it and completely getting past whatever was a little bit racey. There are still a few days... so try to convince her. The content really isn't THAT bad, and the show is so amazing.
