re: Anyone going to the first preview of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC tonight?

15 yr olds who love wicked and think it's the height of musical theater come on this board and espouse their great knowledge of what is "good" and what is "bad".

I didn't see a specific example of that, but perhaps your hyperbolic exaggeration is nothing more than a teen offering an opinion of what they've seen based on their own personal taste and connection to the material. What are your expectations of them?

Please go back to to the kids table at thanksgiving an let the adults speak for a while.

I guess you're not a huge fan of education, especially for those posing valid questions, willing to learn. It's that sort of attitude that fosters the ignorance of which you complain.

Also, wouldn't watching YouTube videos of original casts actually disprove that clumsily worded rant?

Who knows? I couldn't find the point other than perhaps massofmen believes that the opinions of teens in general are insincere and devoid of validity based on his undefined expectations and broad generalizations of them. I guess being bitchy and dismissive is the answer. Yeah, that will solve the problem!

My Apologies jrb actor. I was speaking of two nights ago. Thank you for the correction. Although I would have liked to see the undersudy go on. Who was it that went on for Leigh Ann and why was she out so early in the run?

Megan McGinnis, I think? Or something like that went on for her. She has a cute dimple on her right cheek. I don't know, I Just found that amusing.

Massofmen......okay? I'm not a teenager or a tween or anything of the sort. I've seen enough Broadway, off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway, Experimental theater, and regional theater to have a pretty okay grasp on things. Sorry I wasn't up to date on vaudeville traditions. And sorry if you think I'm what's wrong with the youth of American today, but so be it. SH*Ts whack, huh?

"I actually think your understanding is pretty good, RentBoy. I'm sure PalJoey can give a much better explanation, but my understanding was that she's referring to the practice of sending in clowns to drive a bad act in a vaudeville show off the stage"

Thanks for the actual response! That is the explanation I was looking for as well as the more psychological one. I didn't quite grasp the concept of the whole "sending in clowns" thing, so thank you. And after reading that, I'm not sure she quite reached that level. There wasn't a lot of build up or climax in the show.
