I'm refering to the fans predictions on the Tony website, I just couldn't fit that in the title. They have them winning EVERYTHING..almost.
No. Spamalot will take home like 2 awards. But one of them will probably be Best Musical. Isn't that funny?
Spamalot has a shot at only two awards, IMO. Musical and Supporting Actress. Sara Ramirez is a lock but personally, Best Musical isnt even close to one as the three other shows are much more deserving.

I expect it to be the big winner of the night or tied with DRS for most tonies won. The most that SpamAlot could win is 13, but there are numerous possiblities that could come out of tomorrow night; it could win all 14 or 13 and beat The Producers record, it could tie with The Producers, or win less than The Producers, but have more, less, or the same amount as DRS.

I hope not. 2001 was a boring year with The Producers winning awards it had no business winning. I mean come on, Cady Huffman as best featured actress over Polly Bergan or Kathleen Freeman?
Unfortunately, I don't expect DRS to win more than Best Actor in a Musical. I would be pleased if it did, but it won't.
Spamalot will win Best Musical and Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and probably Best Director of a Musical, with Best Costume Design a possibility.
Spelling Bee's going to take home Best Featured Actor in a Musical, Best Book, and possibly Best Director of a Musical.
BUT Piazza will likely win Best Actress in a Musical, Best Score, Best Orchestrations Best Lighting Design, Best Scenic Design, and possibly even Best Costume Design.
That would make 1 for DRS, ~3 for Spamalot, ~3 for Spelling Bee, and up to 6 for for Piazza. Sure, in many minds only Best Musical really counts for much, but based on those numbers you tell me which will be the big winner.

And no way will Spamalot win 13, it'd have to have a tie in best featured actor for the Spamalot boys(Siber and McGrath would both have to win) or a tie in best lead actor(Curry and Azaria would both have to win).

I think Spamalot will win Best Musical. Although I'm all for Butz, Tim Curry may actually pull off Best Actor. Sara Ramirez all the way.
I hope they don't sweep. I've gotten over that they're going to win Best Musical, but, I'd hope, the rest of the awards go to the correct people.

With all due respect, "correct" is subjective.

I hope Spamalot does not take Best Musical. This award SHOULD go to DRS.
riv,
I think there are like at least, 2 correct people in each category. Correct=Anyone but Spamalot, at least in Score and Book. Ramirez would be deserving, but other than her, I think there are more than one superior choice in each Spam nominated category.

In regards to a SpamAlot sweep, I remided of an old saying "Anything is possible, nothing is probable." It is possible that SpamAlot could make a sweep, but the probability of that happening is slim to none, the most it would be probably get is four maybe even six for Musical, Featured Actress, Book, Music and Lyrics, Direction, and maybe even Choreography(either Nicholaw or Mitchell will get it for choreography).
A little side not about the Choreography category, I read on Broadway.com that Jerry Mitchell was actually supposed to choreograph SpamAlot, but had to step down because he was to busy, but he did recommend Casey Nicholaw. So if Jerry Mitchell did wind up choregraphing SpamAlot, he would have had three nominations for La Cage, DRS, and Spam.

Well, I predicted that Spam would win 2 awards, so yes, I think Spam will win as much as I have predicted.
I haven't seen Bee, but I hope and pray that Piazza wins for best musical. DRS is crap and Spam is certainly not much better.
Piazza and Doubt will top the Tonys, without a doubt (ha no pun intended)
Piazza will take home:
-Actress (Clark)
-Score
-Set Design
-Costumes
-Orchestrations
-Lighting Design
Doubt will win:
-Play
-Actress (Jones)
-Actor (O'Byrne)
-Featured Actress (Lenox)
-Lighting Design
-Direction
