Anyone seeing The Chalk Garden benefit tonight with Angela Lansbury?

I'd love to read some reports. It would be great if this could transfer for a limited run.

I was there tonight. I mostly enjoyed it. I was there for Lansbury and was not familiar with the play prior to tonight. Overall I thought Lansbury did a wonderful job and  Francesca Faridany was excellent. I was less impressed with some of the other members of supporting cast.

Lansbury flubbed a few things and skipped ahead in the script during a few moments, but held it together well. During one flub she stopped and said "not quite yet" to the roar of the audience. Her humor, especially in the second half of the show was excellent. 

It was wonderful to see Lansbury onstage again, but I don't think this needs to go to Broadway. I thought the play was very creaky and didn't really merit a Broadway staging.

Overall I'm very glad I went though I won't be clamoring for a Broadway version of this anytime soon.

I too was there and agree wholeheartedly with Dave1606.  It was so great to see Angela on the boards again and Francesca Faridany was excellent. I can't imagine this play making it to Broadway today even with a star as big as Lansbury.
