Anything Goes and Follies stage door?
#1Anything Goes and Follies stage door?
Posted: 10/7/11 at 1:42pmIn taking a trip to NYC in December to see Anything Goes and Follies. What are my chances of seeing Sutton Foster, Joey Grey or Bernadette Peters at the stage doors??? Do they take pictures/sign or anything? And for how long??? Thanks!!!

I do not believe she comes out in between matinee and evening shows. I've had no luck with Sutton or Joel and have heard similar stories from others that they rarely, if ever, come out the stage door. Good luck!

Her assistant that came out with her was very nice too and made sure bernadtte did not miss any of her fans. A true broadway legend.

I stopped stage dooring a few years ago. I only did it a couple time on Broadway, and everytime I got the impression that I was inconveniencing the cast. So I figured I'd give them space. Kudos to those who have the bravery.
I also stopped doing it on tours. It seems like the cast just wants to get out the door and on to the bus. I don't blame them either. I don't know how pleasant I'd be after my 8th performance of the week.
The most memorable time for me in New York was when I met Mark Rufallo after Awake and Sing. He was very nice and very accomodating.

Posted: 10/8/11 at 1:15amWhen I was in NYC last December Bernadette Peters didn't come up for either of the NIGHT MUSIC shows I saw (A Sunday matt and Tuesday night), neither did most of the cast members of Next to Normal, or most of the cast members (including LuPone) for Women on the Verge (which I just happened to be walking past so thought I'd wait around). I wonder if cast members don't like coming out when it's cold.
