Anything Goes in Atlanta (Pace Academy)

I am in this show and we have worked very hard on it. My school is known for its theatre program here in Atlanta and we always put on very professional shows. "Anything Goes" is going to be wonderful, so if you're in Atlanta, come and check it out!

Pace Academy presents: Anything Goes
November 17-20th 2005
7:30 pm 17-19th, 3:30 pm 20th
404.262.1345 for tickets
966 West Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta Georgia 30327

Anything Goes at Pace Academy’s annual fall musical Nov. 17-20. The popular 1930’s comedy plot is based on a story by P.G. Wodehouse and other witty writers of that era. Add music and lyrics by the incomparable Cole Porter, and you have a classic screwball comedy the whole family will enjoy. A luxury ocean liner sailing from New York to England carries a wayward cast of characters, including a gangster on the run, wealthy socialites, a lovesick stowaway and, of course, tap dancers. It all adds up to an evening of entertainment and laughs as the talented cast sings and dances their way through one of Broadway’s most memorable musicals, including songs such as I Get a Kick Out of You, You’re the Top, It’s De-Lovely, and the title song, Anything Goes.

Thanks much!

I've actually been over to Pace many times. But it's only showing one weekend? I'm going to be out of town. Break a leg, though.

Just got back from the first show! It went very well!

Although, there have been some complaints about racism due to the "chinamen" Luke and John in the show. One girl dropped out of working backstage because of it, and the director had to add something to the welcome recording about it being "lighthearted and meant to be fun."

hmm.
