Ok, I went to see this a while back and loved it!! But that could be because it is in Stratford, but anyway, had a few questions about some people. Does anyone know anything about Elizabeth DeGrazia or Michael Gruber? In both bios there were Broadway credits to their names, but I was just wondering if either of them are slightly well known, or anything of the sort... Has anyone else seen this production? It is hystarical, I am telling you...
One of my Professors is the sound designer for this show, so I will be able to get a backstage tour of this show (and Guys and Dolls). I have heard good things about Guys and Dolls, but not really about Anything Goes...but apparently you liked it, so maybe those reviews were wrong.

yeah I've definately heard better things about Guys and Dolls than Anything Goes.
I haven't seen either yet, but I am in a few weeks. This is my first year in a few years I haven't seen EVERYTHING at Stratford- gotta love that place!
How is Cynthia Dale as Reno? I think she'd make a better Sarah....and I wish it wasn't her doing both roles.
I am going back in a few weeks, and then I will be seeing Guys and Dolls, but up to this point I have only seen Count of Monte Cristo, which was pretty good, Anything Goes, which I obviously liked, Macbeth, where Graham Abbey was a stiff board and I got spit on about 100 times, Lucy Peacock was good though, and Noises Off which was hilarious! I never laugh out loud at shows, and even I was cracking up. Cynthia Dale regained my liking after Anything Goes. I did not like her in either Sound of Music or My Fair Lady, but that could be because she was coming after Julie Andrews. There is this hilarious number in Anything Goes... Gypsy in Me... sooo funny... but you'll see soon.
Link, I actually am going to be able to go backstage for the shows and work with the actors, because I go to the Shakespeare School in the summer. I have been backstage quite a few times, but it is still amazing everytime I go back there. Last year with The King and I... amazing...
brdwaybaby17, question...at the Shakespeare School do you know anyome named Hayley McGee? I think she is teaching there this summer but I am not too sure. If you know her tell her Akiva says HI!
If not, no worries

Oh my gosh!!!! Haylee!!! I love her!!! She was my assistant director last year, and although we had our tifts, she was hilarious!!
Well if you see her around tell her HI! hah...i am in Calgary for the summerm but we got to school together at Ryerson University. She is SO fun.
Yay,

Hey, Ryerson is one of the schools I am looking at... Do you know if for sure she is coming back this summer?

The general concensus from the professional reviewers is that G&D was the better of the shows. IMHO tho, AG was better. (dispite those incredibly UNcomfortable seats in the Avon theater).
Awww... I love those seats... so many memories... lol But there is this row, right at the back of the first balcony, about 6 or 7 seats, where you have about 3 or 4 feet of leg room, those were so great to sit in. But, does anyone else know anything about those actors?
*bobo once again begins a one man movement to remove this show from existance. He stands outside of a theater bobbing a sign up and down that says "ANYTHING BLOWS" in red pen ink*
I'm seeing G&D and Timon of Athens this Saturday - can't wait! Haven't been to Stratford in years. I'll post my reviews next week.
Avika, I saw Haley, but I got your name wrong so she didn't know what I was talking about!! Actually, she didn't even remember who I was, so serves her right that I got it wrong...
Well I will be seeing her soon anyways so it's no biggie. Thanks though
