'Anything Goes' Ending Revision - Approval Process

I know changes have been made to the current West End ending of 'Anything Goes' to correct some outdated stereotypes part of earlier productions. When updates are made to play and musical revivals, who ends up needing to provide approval? For 'Anything Goes', is approval from the estates of Cole Porter and the original book creators needed?

'Anything Goes' Ending Revision - Approval Process

I would assume approval would have already been granted for the production to even go on. This revival uses the 1987 book updated by John Weidman and Timothy Crouse. They’re both still living. I assume again that one or both of them made the change.
