So I'm going to NYC in April, and I bought tickets for the following shows:
She Loves Me
School of Rock
Fiddler on the Roof
Waitress
i also bought a ticket for The Crucible, but after all the negative early word, I'm really regretting it. I want to choose 1 more show to replace it (somethig that plays on Sunday). I'm thinking of Kelli O'Hara's last performance in The King and I, but I'm also eyeing Dear Evan Hanson, though I don't know much about it. Alternate recommendations welcome! I just really want to see 5 great shows while I'm there, since I have no idea when I'll be back :)
Well, not all the word of mouth has been negative, many here liked it. You might be one of those people! My advice is not to change and see for yourself. (Lots of folks didn't like Fiddler, either)
I wouldn't change your ticket at all. I personally really loved The Crucible, and it would be nice for you to see a play among all of those musicals.
If you do want to change it (I would also say see for yourself) I would recommend Daddy Long Legs or Bright Star.
I'm not sure what Bright Star's performing schedule is now, they were switching it around a bit in early previous, so just check if they have on on your date.
Daddy Long Legs also changes their schedule every once in a while, but the last time I checked they did a 3pm and 7:30pm on Sunday.
