Are the roles of Elphaba and Glinda still considered above the title roles?

Are the roles of Elphaba and Glinda still considered above the title roles?

I was wondering if whoever plays Elphaba and Glinda on Broadway still get above the title billing. I know that was the case for Idina and Kristin during their run but I am wondering if that is still the case.

I think it is because I think I remember seeing Ellis's name and Kendra's name above the title when I did the lotto the other day but don't rember for sure.

I am asking because I have tickets to see the show on Wednesday and there have been some performances where Ellis has missed already and I am wondering if she isn't there if she is above the title if I could get an exchange.

I do want to see Julie if she does go on. I have wanted to see her for some time. But, as of right now I am up in the air about that because I got a ticket just to see kerry. I have never been picky about who I see as Elphaba in this show until Kerry came. She was the reason for me to get a ticket.

Is it posible for me to exchange my ticket and still ge in for that night?

i have a prob with mine for lauras last performance i will see if i could exchange it today and need to talk them into it. nederlander and ticketmaster are in a miss communication they say you have to talk to one and the other one says to the other. so thats why i have to go back to the box office today.

hopefully ellis gets used to the broadway stage and a broadway stagedoor. kendra name has been up there for awhile. i miss annaleigh and sjb too.

The box office staff will give you no problems about exchanging your ticket. There's always a cancellation line, so they'll have no trouble re-selling the seat to someone on it.

Just to echo what someone else said, though...Julie Reiber blows Kerry out of the water.

I never said that i was going to exchange the ticket. I don't even know if I can considering that I got the ticket via stubhub. Before anyone says anything about me getting the ticket there is legit and i can tell by looking that it was originally bought at the theare and not at ticketmaster. I don't know if I can exchange it because I don't have any order conformation number.

I do want to see Julie as Elphaba and have wanted to for sometime. But, I did get this ticket in hopes that I would see Kerry. If for example Block was still in the show and I got a ticket and it turns out she wasn't on and I saw julie (or the other understudy whos name is escaping me right now) I would shrug it off as no big deal. But I am not sure if I can in this case.

In 2006, my friend purchased tickets in advance to two different performances and, upon entering the Gershwin both times, saw that Saycon's name was on the understudy board for Elphaba. He sat through her once, but didn't feel like sitting through her again. On his second visit, the Box Office staff had no problem granting him a refund.

The Gershwin Box Office staff has always been helpful and pleasant. Even when I had one extra ticket that I wasn't able to use, the employee gave an immediate refund, no questions asked. Of course, the ticket was snatched up a minute later.
