The book for In The Heights was pointed out by many as the show's major fault, too bad they turned to her to write this.

Hm. Are you familiar with her writing aside from IN THE HEIGHTS? That's hardly a fair assessment on her capabilities. She also wrote ELLIOT, A SOLDIERS FUGUE, which was quite sharp and lovely

I hated the movie version of Like Water, For Chocolate. Granted, they made us watch it for my high school Spanish class so that probably had something to do with it.
