David Edward Byrd has passed away. his most famous Broadway poster was for the original production of FOLLIES. He was 83.

While FOLLIES will forever be my fave, his work for Bowie, The Doors and Prince were also epic. And, No AI!

He was the best! Was all of his work 'work for hire' or does he retain any rights? Or his estate.

He must have retained some kind of rights, because when he was struggling with medical bills, he sold repros for a while through Etsy. I got his JCS poster that way.
