I’ve never seen a production of DEAR WORLD… However, I think it’s a great cast recording; magnificently produced by Thomas Z. Shepard.

I really enjoyed this production when I saw it with Rebecca Luker. It was my first time seeing the Broadway SOUND OF MUSIC. I’d only seen the movie prior to this. The production with Luker was very nice…but the first time the show “wowed” me was when I saw it in London at the Palladium; the 2006 production. Even though many of us weren’t thrilled with Nick Jonas in “The Last Five Years,” a digital-only release of a cast album featuring Jonas would probably have more people exposed to this show and score than all previous recordings combined.Maybe Jonas would’ve worked better in an audio-only release. Also, we’d have Adrienne Warren’s performance to enjoy.

When I looked earlier today, there were VERY FEW tickets available for tonight. I can’t access it now, but I think there were fewer than 20 seats available. I guess we’ll know more later.

After reading the posts here, I was curious… When I tried to find the OBC recording, it wasn’t available to stream on Amazon, Apple, Tidal, Qobuz or Spotify. It is free to listen to on YouTube, though…

Maybe the overture and curtain calls could be included in a physical release; DVD and Blu-ray. It would be a very easy thing to do…if they were shot initially.Give us the option to watch it both ways on disc. Again, it would be so easy to do.

I came on tonight at about 10:30 PST. When I went to look at comments regarding today’s elections, I was surprised to see that I’d 👍 a number of them. I removed the ones that weren’t placed there by me.
