When is Ashley Brown's last day in Beauty and the Beast? I was looking at the Photo Op of Jacob Young and a picture of her said that she was going to soon leave for Mary Poppins. Also, who is the next Belle?
Don't expect her to be gone from the show until July-ish.
She recently told a friend of mine that she would be staying in BATB right up until the week before she begins rehearsels for 'Poppins', and since the first preview for MP is in October I believe, do the math and figure when she'de leave...
EDIT: 'Poppins' rehearsels were pushed up.. Ashley also wants to work on her accent and such and get settled in over in London, where they'll be rehearsing, so she will now be leaving much sooner than previously expected.

Isn't the rehearsal period a month for a new show? If she's Belle right up until that time, that would put it in late August/early September

I don't think she's leaving May 28. That's way too soon for her to be leaving when rehearsals aren't until August and she's planning on staying up until they start. It could be possible but not very likely
i believe the 28th is correct, or if not that exact date its around that. she's taking a little while off and then going to london to study dialect, etc. my drama teacher and i know her and she called and told us the scoop.
i'm sooo excited about mary poppins! she so deserves this
I LUV HER!!!!
Who will replace her?

I hope they bring in a new actress for Belle, it would be nice to see some new talent.
Nope, it'll be an older Belle.
Start guessing.
Susan Egan...? Megan McGinnis...?

Getty would give a whole new meaning to the song "A Change in Me"
Random, but I would like to hear Lea Salonga sing "Home" and/or "A Change in Me."
All I have to say is that Ashley was an AMAZING Belle and I'm so happy is slowly being recongized! After seeing her twice in On The Record (from the last dress rehearsal to a regular performance)in Cleveland, it's great to see her devleope into a fierce performer who brings light with her presence! Not to mention that she is one of the sweetest "divas" I'v me, even giving this homely gay a hug after the show! (Me and two little girls waiting for her after a sunday night show, priceless)Love me some ashley brown! If she needs someone to start a fan club, I'm all there :) Mary Poppins...gurl..so there! :)

I was there! Ashley hit it out of the park, that girl can SING! They brought her out a HUGE bouquet of red roses at the curtain call, and she was crying. They didn't make a speech or anything though. Glad to see Ashley before she left.
Anyway, the last time I saw Beauty and the Beast was 12 years ago, and I must say, I was REALLY impressed. I enjoyed it more than a lot of the other stuff I've seen. It's held up very well. Now I can see why it's stayed open so long.

How was Jacob Young?
He was funny. At certain points, his character came accross as being a little gay, which is funny cause the first time I saw BATB Gary Beach played Lumiere, and less gay, but whatevs, it wasn't too bad. His singing could have been better. Overall though, he was pretty funny.
